Still Flying...Sometimes
It has been a little while since I last posted a blog and if there is anyone still reading this, here is an update. The flying job has really slowed down to lack of aircraft and properly functioning aircraft. Our one and only home station plane has been up and down for maintenance for the last few weeks. I being the lower ranking person and the fact that others come in from out of town to fly, means that I am the first one to get bumped from a flight when it is working.
To counter that I have been taking some leave and having mini vacations. I rode nearly 1200 miles on my street bike to go watch the motocross nationals and just to have a street bike trip.
It went well and I got to see a lot of the NW that I hadn't seen before on a lot of back rodes. My backside would have been good with about 800 miles...you do the math...I was in pain for a portion of the ride. The options of stretching are limited on a motorcycle, so we took multiple breaks. Of course we were very safety conscious...we always stayed under triple digits over the speed limit...ok, not all the time but no one is perfect.
Other than that, not a lot has been going on with Candi and I. I took off a few more days to wakeboard, but that didn't work out so I ended up golfing, mountain biking, and motorcycle riding. I have one more day off and I am trying to get things caught up...hence you happening upon this little beauty. Until the next time I get caught up, C-YA!

You mean to say that aircraft require maintenance? Wow! Well, maybe fixed-wing; Army helicopters are never worked on!
Did you ride 1200 miles one way? Cuz that'd be nuts on a streetbike. They're not even comfortable unless you're going at least 80 to get weight off your hands.
